Yesterday we took the hour drive to Colorado Springs and visited Cave of the Winds with the kids.  Drake really seemed to be into the learning of the new vocabulary associated with the cave, and Celeste really liked how she was the only one in the group who did not have to bend down in the low clearance areas.  It was a good thing that the tour was less than an hour long- I don't think either of our kids would have lasted much longer- but it was a nice little tour.  Much better than taking it with 6th graders who are looking for dark areas to make out in.
Today we will be celebrating the 4th of July with my parents for a while and then back here to watch the fireworks (when it FINALLY gets dark).  Happy 4th of July to everyone!
